There are many pieces of golf equipment that are unnecessary for most golfers. One piece of equipment that doesn't fall in that category are golf shoes. There are many different types of golf shoes on the market, so it's hard to find the right pair for you. This article will endeavor to teach you all you need to know about golf shoes so you can make an informed decision when you decide to go buy a pair.

Golf Shoe Type One

The first type of golf shoes that are very popular amongst many players on the PGA, are studded shoes. Now you're probably wondering "isn't every golf shoe studded?" and you're right. Every golf shoe is studded except the types of studs carry from shoe to shoe. The first one we will be talking about is the metal studded golf shoe. In fact the studs are more like metal spikes and gives players extra grip when they are taking their shot.

Extra grip usually means more balance and a well balanced stance is generally going to create a much smoother and cleaner shot. Lately there has been one concern with metal studded golf shoes and that is the fact they tend to damage greens when players are putting. There is nothing more frustrating for a golfer when their ball strikes a divot in the green when they are putting. It's something that of course has been addressed and with that we can move onto the second type of golf shoe.

Golf Shoe Type Two

The second type of golf shoe that is beginning to become more popular than the first is the rubber studded golf shoe. Most players on the PGA wear a pair of rubber studded golf shoes. Most people who wear them say there is no difference between the level of balance attained from the rubber studs and the metal studs. This is great news because rubber studs tend to make very little if not any damage to the surface of greens. This means that there will be a reduction in the number of balls missing the hole due to divots in the green. This of course is going to save a hec of a lot of frustration for everyone.

Therefore if you are looking to buy a pair of new golf shoes than your best bet is to buy a pair of rubber studded shoes. I mean everyone else is so why not you too!

There are many benefits that come from buying lake golf balls. These golf balls are from top lines, and have been recycled from lakes. These balls are all guaranteed to be top quality, and very affordable. Millions of these lake balls are sold all over Europe every year, and this number is growing.

A grading system is used for balls to help insure optimal quality and savings, these grading levels are Pearl, Pearl-A mixed pack, and practice balls. Pearl quality balls are basically brand new. They are shiny, clean, and may even be "tacky" to the touch. Pearl-A mixed packs contain practically new golf balls that will have some scratches or marks, mixed with Pearl grade balls. The A grade generally look like a ball would after 6-9 holes of play. These are mixed at anywhere from a 50/50 ratio to 25/75 ratio with pearl quality balls generally being the most prevalent in the mixture.

The lowest quality packs are the practice ball packs. They have more major scratching, discoloration, and heavier scuffing. These are perfect for summer nights where you just want to hit a few. If you lose a couple of these balls it is not that big of a deal because they are cheaper, and you don't have to worry about damaging them.

I have used lake balls myself for quite a while and I am more than content. They are great for keeping costs down where compared to new golf balls. These Golf balls are not brand new, although they are nearly so. If you consideration is cost I would always recommend lake balls rather than buying inferior brand.

There tends to be a lot of yellow balls within the cheaper packs and in the bigger stores they can be picked through. I recommend having a good root and try and spot those quality V1 Titleist balls. The other main brands to keep an eye out for are Nike one, Callaway HX Tour, TaylorMade Red or Black and Srixon. Most of the higher quality packs are in quantities of 12 but some golf suppliers have packs as high as 100 but this is a very mixed bag.

Electric golf trolleys make the game of golf enjoyable because they take the strain of carrying the golf clubs whilst you concentrate on your game of golf. When buying a new electric golf trolley there are a few important things to consider before making the final purchase. In order to get the most out of the time and money that you invest into getting one, you will need to review some of the different models out there. Those who have any physical health problems such as a bad back or knees will definitely want to consider getting one. It will allow you to play golf without risking further injury.

The construction and durability of the golf trolley that you buy will be an important factor to keep in mind when shopping for a trolley. You will want to look for an aluminum and steel frame for light weight and strength. Does the trolley store easily and how does it store. Some trolleys fold down and some need the wheels and handle to be removed. How easy is it to lift in and out of your car. If it is heavy it could be difficult and even dangerous for your back. Is it easy to secure your golf bag to the trolley. You want your clubs to be accessible when on the trolley so it is important that the bag remains in place and does not swivel round due to poor fastenings to the trolley.

Before buying a golf trolley, you will need to think about the type of golf course that you play on the most. If you tend to play on especially hilly courses, then you will probably want to look out for a trolley that is particularly powerful. There are two factors to consider here, the power of the motor and the quality and strength of the battery. You will certainly not want the battery to die on you half way round the course. Stability of the trolley will also be important particularly on a hilly course as your trolley tipping over could have unfortunate consequences on the side of a hill.

A remote control electric golf trolley is the ultimate trolley to have on the golf course. Imagine you have selected your club and walked over to play your shot only to find the ball is in a position that requires a different club. No problem, just summon your trolley with the use of the remote control and in no time you will have a full selection of clubs available again. It is almost as good as having your own golf caddy.

Golf, as other items of sports, is all about getting an advantage over your opponents. And nothing helps you better in that than wedges. Pitching wedge
This is one that all players use irrespective of their level in the game. It is also the longest wedge in your set considering the size of the bag. It provides the hit of about 100 to 125 yards from the pin.

Sand wedge
Though the name mentions "sand", the wedge is not meant for sand alone. It often comes with the set or you could get it separately. It provide good stopping power.

Gap wedge
These are sold individually and are a late addition to the list of wedges. They fill the gap between the pitching and sand wedges.

Lob wedge
Like the gap wedge these are also sold separately from the set. They are ideal for shorter high shots that should be stopped quickly.

Of these the pitching and the sand wedge are most commonly used. Choosing the right wedge lets you improve the game drastically. Golf, like most sport, is a game of precision and accuracy. In order to score a hole in one, you need the utmost concentration, and physical and mental strength. Furthermore, you need to match your skills and experience with your golfing accessories and equipment, particularly the golf ball.

For non-golf aficionados, one golf ball is the same as other golf balls. The only major difference such people may see between one ball from another is the manufacturer or brand name. In the eye of a golfer lover, however, golf balls differ in more ways than one.

If you want to improve your game, you need to pay attention to the type, covering material, core structure, and compression rates of a ball. You must bear in mind that your swing and level of play should be matched with the golf ball you use. Thus, you can't expect to be like Tiger Woods simply by buying and using the same golf accessories, shoes, and balls that he uses.

Here are basic golf ball comparisons you need to know to help improve your golf games:

Common Golf Ball Types

Two-piece

If you are just starting to play golf, you most probably need to consider using the two-piece golf ball. This type of ball, aside from being the cheapest type available in the market, is aimed at providing great distance. If your swing is slow, the big rubber core of the ball helps in transferring the energy from the swing to the ball efficiently, thereby providing you with good distance.
If you are a neophyte in the game, you need to concentrate on your accuracy. Hence, you need a ball that will boost your distance, enabling you to concentrate more on building your accuracy. Once you have mastered consistency, then you need to try the other types of golf ball.

Three-piece

The three-piece ball is ideal for advanced players, who have pretty much mastered control, partly because a person wouldn't want to spend too much for a golf ball that will brandish his or her hit-and-miss swings. Such a ball, which is preferred by pro players, is composed of a core, which can be solid or made up of liquid or gel, a layer of wounded thread, and a plastic covering.

Materials used as golf ball coverings

Although there maybe other kinds of golf ball covering, the two most popular are the surlyn and balata.
Balata

Balata golf balls, which are usually three-piece balls, are made of soft covering. Professional golfers prefer such balls because they not only cuts and scuffs easily, but they are also easier to control. Furthermore, balata balls give more spin. However, these balls have shorter life span and are more expensive.

Surlyn

Surlyn balls are more apt for amateur gofers because they are cheaper. Most two-piece golf balls are made of surlyn, a hard material, thus it is more resistant to cuts and scuffs and provide more distance. Aside from being more inexpensive, such balls are also long lasting. However, it is harder to control and does not provide ample spin.

Compression rate

Traditionally, the tightness of the golf ball's thread windings determines its compression rate. Due to recent technological advancement, however, the compression rate of a golf ball is now basically dependent on how the ball is affected when it is hit. The compression rating of golf balls usually range from 70-110.
Low compression balls

Balls with compression rating of 70-80 are considered low compression balls. Such balls are soft and are easily deformed or compressed when hit. Players with slow swings are encouraged to use such ball.
Medium compression balls
Most advanced golfers prefer balls with a compression rate of 90. These medium compression balls provide both softness and ease of control.

High compression balls

Golf balls with 100-110 compression rating are high compression balls. Such balls are hard and are less likely to deform upon impact, compared to those with lower compression rates. A high compression ball is ideal for those whose club head speeds are high.

Be keen in knowing how the type of ball or its compression rates affect your performance. Keep in mind that the knowledge of golf ball comparisons is handy in enhancing your strengths and masking your weaknesses in the golf course.
